The Alpha Trading Cup 2026 welcomes all traders from algorithm builders to copy trading enthusiasts to test their edge in a live environment powered by Monaxa.
1. EA Quant Trading Category
For traders who code, test, and deploy their own bots.
• Compete using your custom or commercial Expert Advisors (EAS).
• Strategies may run on any currency, gold, silver, or Bitcoin-based instruments.
• Performance will be tracked automatically through Monaxa's live leaderboard.
• Judging metrics include total return, drawdown, and trading volume consistency.
• You may run multiple bots or strategies across sub-accounts to diversify risk.
Ideal for developers, researchers, and traders who want to validate their quantitative systems in real-time conditions.
2. Copy Trading Category
For those who want to learn from data-driven leaders.
• Choose from verified traders and mirror their trades automatically.
• Results are measured based on your net portfolio performance.
• Perfect for newer traders or those exploring automated systems without coding.
Ideal for developers, researchers, and traders who want to validate their quantitative systems in real-time conditions.
Manual Trading
Manual trading is permitted for flexibility but will not be ranked on the official leaderboard.
Participants can still access all classes, events, and recognition awards making it a valuable learning experience while observing how data-driven trading performs in comparison.
Leaderboard & Evaluation
Separate leaderboards for EA Quant and Copy Trading categories.
Rankings are based on profitability, drawdown control, and consistency.

1. Who can join the Alpha Trading Cup 2026?
Anyone with a live Monaxa trading account funded with at least USD 1,000 can join. You can compete as an EA (Quant) trader or Copy trader, or participate manually for learning and community exposure.
2. How do I register?

You'll be directed to the official registration form to open or link your Monaxa account. Once your account is verified and funded, you'll receive an email confirming your eligibility.
3. When does the competition start and end?
Competition Period: 15 January - 15 April 2026
All eligible participants must complete funding by 8 January 2026 to be included in the leaderboard at launch.
4. What are the competition categories?
• EA Quant Trading: For participants running automated bots (EAs).
• Copy Trading: For traders who mirror verified live traders on Monaxa's
platform. Manual trading is permitted, but results will not be ranked on the official leaderboard.
5. What if I trade manually?
Manual traders can still participate and enjoy all competition benefits, including EA workshops, guest webinars, and community recognition, but they will not be ranked for prizes. This allows flexibility while maintaining the competition's quant-driven focus.
6. What can I win?
Each category (EA & Copy Trading) has USD 6,000 in cash prizes for the top three performers:
• 1st Place - USD 3,000
• 2nd Place - USD 2,000
• 3rd Place - USD 1,000
You'll also stand to win Alpha Trading Cup trophies, medals, and jackets, plus up to USD 750 Monaxa trading credit.
7. How are winners selected?
Winners are ranked by a weighted scoring system that considers:
• Net profit (%)
• Drawdown control
• Trading consistency and volume
Separate leaderboards for EA and Copy Trading will be published weekly throughout the competition.
8. Is there a registration fee?
No, registration is free.
You only need to fund your Monaxa account with at least USD 1,000 to qualify for entry and bonus credit.
9. Can I use multiple strategies or bots?
Yes. You may run multiple EAs or sub-accounts to diversify your strategy and manage risk.
All results will be tracked in real time under your registered competition ID.
10. When will winners be announced?
Award Ceremony: April 2026
Winners will be recognised live on stage and featured in Alpha Trader's Telegram and newsletters.
